Jill Noel Shreve

Bio

Jill Noel Shreve teaches American Lit and Comp at Bishop Dunne, a college-prep school in south Dallas. Jill recently completed her MFA at The City University of New York-Hunter College with Kathryn Harrison, Louise DeSalvo and Meena Alexander. While studying at Hunter, Jill received the esteemed title of Hertog Fellow where she had the opportunity to intern as a research assistant for memoirist and poet Honor Moore. She also received a creative writing teaching appointment through the program and taught undergraduates for a year.

Prior to her appointments in Manhattan, Jill completed her studies at the University of Texas-Austin in 2005 with a BA in English Education. She then went on to graduate-level study at Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS). In 2009, Jill graduated with two masters from DTS, one in Media Arts and Communication and the other in Christian Education. During her stint at DTS, she wrote for the school newspaper, The Jot & Tittle. She also contributed case studies to Wisdom On Friends, Dating and Relationships (Zondervan) and Wisdom On Making Good Decisions (Zondervan).

Jill lives with her husband, Erik, in Dallas, and she's completing her first project When It Rains and Sunshines at the Same Time, a south Texas memoir about matriarchs, food and faith.
